A miscellany of small items a) A Lost Chapter of Mary Queen of Scots, recovered by John Stuart, Secretary of the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland printed in 1884. It discusses notices of James, Earl of Bothwell and Lady Jane Gordon, dispensation of their marriage, the law and practice in Scotland relative to marriage dispensations and a full appendix of documents.

b) Items and documents pertaining to the Earl of Bothwell by Prince Alexandre Labanoff printed in 1856. A comprehensive collection of letters, reports and discussions concerning the Earl of Bothwell and his confession in Denmark

c) Mary, Queen of Scots and her marriage with Bothwell by the Hon Colin Lindsay published in 1883. This consists of 7 letters to 'The Tablet' plus a supplement. Interestingly it opens with a retraction by the Rev. Father Stevenson of his allegations made in the preface of his work 'The History of Mary Stewart by Claude Nau.
